Hello, I’m Tavia,
I am in my last year of Peace and Conflict Studies at UFV and I have loved every second of it! Inspired by nature and indigenous wisdom, I am passionate that conflict is not something to be avoided but a catalyst for progression. Through education and practice, transformative dialogue can lead to sustainable peace.
Peace to me is to co-existence; with a willingness to listen, to participate, to empathize, to share, to navigate complexities and collaborate on strategies. I find peace in being without critiquing, which is probably why I love hiking and traveling so much. To just observe without assessment is such a privilege.
I love having normalities challenged and eco chambers set ablaze, which is why I’m so excited to share and learn from all of you at the Peace Hub!
