Introduction

Hello!

My name is Lealle Ruhl (she/her pronouns).  I am a settler of European descent and I work on Musqueam land in Vancouver, where I coordinate the Langara College Peace and Conflict Studies program in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.  I also teach International Relations and Political Theory in the Department of History, Latin, and Political Science.  My teaching areas provide ample scope for my owngoing commitment to decolonizing and indigenizing my teaching.

I am very active and enjoy being outside as much as possible. One of my new interests is exploring the intersection of peace work and a ‘politics of place’ that encourages learners to embed themselves in the natural rhythms and beuaty of where-ever we live, work, and play.

I am looking forward to meeting other folks on this learning journey.  I am eager to share ideas, best practices, and big dreams for what a BC Peace Hub might achieve!

  1. I’m so looking forward to meeting you in person! We spoke on the phone about a year ago now and that conversation was one of the seeds for this day 🙂
